Christmas Tea

Christmas Tea Blend

Christmas Tea is my favorite Christmas blend by Brewing Leaf so far. It might be because I love blends with a twist, or maybe because I really like star anise, or because of the great mango and grapefruit mix, but I could drink this tea all winter long. Ingredients are black tea OP, grapefruit, mango, star anise, clove, red pepper and aromatic flavour. Christmas tea is very interesting and colourful in appearance. I like to see big pieces of fruit and spices, and this one looks great. What is the point of having a Christmas tea that is not colourful and cheerful? Scent is delightful, fresh and lively, with very nicely blended mango, grapefruit, star anise and red peppercorns. Price is 3.25 GBP for 50 grams or around 4.35 USD.

Christmas Tea

Christmas in a Cup

Brewing: 5 grams, 150 ml, 95 degrees Celsius, 3,5,10 min

How delightful Christmas tea smells in a heated teapot! It has a unique combination of warming note from cloves, mango and black tea and icy note from star anise, grapefruit and red peppercorns. In a way it does represent Christmas very well – snowy landscape and warm indoor gatherings, in a cheerful atmosphere. There is one more great benefit to this tea; it can be steeped at least twice. Due to strong spices, it doesn’t lose the flavour so easily, and black tea is just strong enough to hold all of them together for three infusions. Star anise, cloves and grapefruit are the most pronounced notes, so if you are not a big fan of those spices and citrus flavour, this might not be your cup of Christmas tea. If you are, you will find this tea to be a very nice seasonal flavoured delight.
