I have to admit, I’m not a big fan of herbal teas. But, when I saw this one, I just had to try it. And I was not wrong. What was going on in the minds of people creating a blend with such and interesting name? (I know the answer to this question, I have been doing the same job myself – and this one is perfectly matched). The way I see it is, is there a better way to cheer yourself up during a bad weather than relaxing with a cup of hot tea? Even better, what if this tea could be a mix of 15 different leaves, flowers, fruits and spices?

Bad Weather herbal tea contains  raspberry leaves, rose hip peel, aniseed, apple pieces, fennel, blackberry leaves, wild strawberry leaves, peppermint, marigold blossoms, ribwort, elderberry blossoms, melissa, sunflower blossoms, mullein blossoms, peony blossoms and flavouring. All of these ingredients create quite  a cheerful, colorful mix with lovely scent. Little chopped sun. Anise seed and fennel are quite dominant, there is a fresh minty background lightly veiling the whole blend and light, but sweet fruit base deep in the background.

Brewing

1 heaped teaspoon for 250 ml of water, temperature 100 degrees Celsius, steeping for 10 minutes. 5 minutes will give a lighter version, and 10 minutes will extract minty note much better. Bad Weather herbal tea is extremely fresh, light, a pure pleasure to drink. It is a well-balanced mix that gives aniseed the right to dominate, but not to take the whole control over flavors. It is very lightly sweet, without any bitterness, and would be a perfect choice for an afternoon refreshment. It’s caffeine free and soothing.
